these services are interactive and participatory as we choose what to watch when we watch unlike the traditional broadcast model (7.30pm eastenders). this would bring people closer together.

this is done to cater to everyone.
creating a niche audience. as normal tv doesn't do this. However the overall combination of all niches lead to an outnumbered mainstream.
