cross-platform minecraft

1. Cross-platform gaming is being able to play the same game with others through different devices. For example friends playing minecraft with each other through a PC, playstation and their phone.

2. Microsofts 'Better together' update is exciting for the gaming world as it's easier for people to play with each other wherever and whenever. It expands their potential and no longer limits gamers.

3. Their maybe concerns over online child protection because this update makes it easier for potential online trolls to access vulnerable kids playing on their playsation or nintendo. No one truly knows who they'll be playing online hence why playstation hasn't conformed to this update.

4. I think the future is very open to cross-platform gaming as technology has become so worldwide and advanced making it more of an idealistic and simple way for gamers to enjoy their experience through whatever devices. Pros of this would be making it easier for gamers to have fun with whatever platforms they have access to and no longer limiting their experience. Also the minecraft update means that there are no longer different versions across the different platforms, so now all the players of minecraft can have the same gaming experience. However cons of this would be that it's more expensive and time consuming to make this advancement also the framework may not support every feature, for example android, iso or windows phone may get different updates at different times.
